MANY DAYS LATER — here, finally, is a recap of that last episode of Bates Motel. Sorry for the delay. Although TV usually takes priority, I had a couple of things no one was willing to cover for me (final projects, exams, life-changing decisions, etc.).
So, remember how Norman is a whiny little complainer? That seems to be the theme of this episode. He’s kind of a dick to everyone that works at the institute, avoids taking his medication and makes sneaky against-the-rules phone calls to Dylan. Overall, he needs a serious attitude adjustment.
Romero’s got a wife, Norma’s got a husband, Dylan’s got to get himself out of the weed biz, and Norman’s got a new pal and chicken pot pies in the high-class loony bin. Just another day on Bates Motel!
Norman has conveniently and completely forgotten about murdering Emma’s mom. He has a few flashbacks of stuffing her into a freezer, but assumes that his mom was the perpetrator. This obviously makes the situation kind of awkward.
